As part of GrasPods Welcome Week 2021, we’re back with Part 2 of a step-by-step RNA-seq data analysis workshop, in association with the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute’s Trainee Omics Group (TOG).
TOG is the resident graduate trainee-led data bioinformatics and data analysis support group at BCCHR, offering workshops, tutorials, and seminars in biomedical statistical analyses and methodologies.
Part 2 - RNA-seq: From Differential Expression and Beyond
Date and Time: 4 November 2021 (Thursday) from 1 p.m. – 3p.m.
Requirements: Basic working-knowledge and experience with R.
In Part 2 of this 2-part RNA-seq Analysis Workshop, we will use the processed expression counts that we generated in Part 1, and run through how to conduct principle component analysis, differential expression with linear modelling, as well as introduce tools for gene and pathway analysis.
Files required from our GitHub Repo:
Part 2 Worksheet
Processed counts file
Phenotype information file
If you did not attend Part 1, fear not – both Part 1 and Part 2 of this workshop are stand alone, and you can review the full annotated scripts of the analysis for both parts in the ‘scripts’ folder on our GitHub
